Flanagan better get this payday before one of these other guys spoils it. Felix is not dancing, no more side to side, the "blazing" speed is sporadic, and he's telegraphing (like his hands hurt). Flanagan needs to hurry up.Comment

Was it me, or did Verdejo swing and missed a lot of his punches tonight. A lot of those rounds were really close imo.
When they interviewed his trainer, he said that they were looking for a tough southpaw, that pretty much confirms that they're going after Flanagan's belt.Comment

I understand that Verdejo is coming off an injury from the accident but even before then he seemed to be regressing. If things don't change he's gonna go the juanma route and lose to someone he's expected to beat before his career can really take off. Only difference is at least juanma won world titles in 2 divisions before his career tanked.Comment

unfortunately all of Latino boxing is on a decline currently. Argentina had a golden stretch with Martinez, mathysse and maidana which came to an end. PR has no world champions other than a girl, mexico has 1 top 20 fighter who continues to take on mismatch fights and will do so again against another Mexican who hasn't done anything in 5 yrs. Cuba has 2 top fighters whose careers have gone nowhere due to inactivity and lack of willing opponents.Comment

Cuban amateur boxing is as strong as it's ever been. The only difference is that not many of them have defected lately
Argentina has Castano and the younger Maidana
Puerto Rico is in a rough patch, but Diaz, Acosta, Rodriguez, Machado and Santiago could potentially win world titles at some pointComment
