Canelo tends to gas out middle rounds and he takes it easier in between those rounds.

But he might have plenty more in the tank at this new weight.

Doesn't matter who trains him he just doesn't have the heart or the desire, plus I'd like to see what legal way he's going to try to get down to 164.5 ...if Fraudverez doesn't carry him the fight should be over b4 7...

Canelo is the more skilled boxer and knowing this, I think his game plan will be that of mayweather against himself when mayweather gave him that boxing lesson while Canelo had to go to 152 for that fight. He knows just where jr will be at physically and knowing he is the better boxer, all Canelo has to do is outbox Jr. and make jr the one to take risks and put the pressure on him, I see Canelo outboxing Jr. Early on while conserving his energy, once jr gasses out, Canelo can keep outboxing him or go in for the kill depends on his energy level. Jr on the other hand, had to fight like he did vs lee or that last 90 seconds in round 12 of Martinez. If he does this he may have a chance, but will jr have the stamina to do this? Big if, and even so, Canelo can always counter him... Lots of things to look for in this one fellas

I can see the fight going something along these lines too.

Until he actually does it, noone really knows if Chavez will make the contracted weight however it is certainly realistic that he does AND is strong at the weight. But it is an absolutely enormous "IF"! If he trains properly; if he diets properly; if he absolutely dedicates himself etc etc.

Even if he does, I still see Alvarez winning, it will just be a much harder, more even fight.

I think Chavez Jr is making a mistake here.

Nacho is a great trainer but he teaches a technical style that takes time to master. One training camp isn't going to be enough to make a difference.

He should have brought his fat ass up to Cali and worked with Roach or Garcia instead since he is already familiar with both of them.

He'll walk down and stop Canela when he gasses out in the 8 and get a ref stoppage in the 11th!!
