Why is that?

A purse bid was scheduled in September of 2015 for the IBF No. 2 ranking, but a dispute occurred between the two promoters. Barrera, who defected from Cuba and resides in Miami, Florida, did not have a passport then and was unable to travel to Quebec, Canada for a proposed fight with Beterbiev. If Duva, his own promoter had won the bid he'd have grossed 45k!

Won't surprise me if this fight doesn't materialise. If Barrera does take the fight, then he deserves massive props.

Main Events will pay its protégé's purse according to the contractual agreement that binds them.
The plan is this fight will take place on March 4 in Brooklyn, in the semi-final of the welterweight clash between Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman.

GYM wants the fight in new york. duva felt new york was too close to canada and wanted it in Miami. Duva turns the fight down, Berrera furious says he wants the fight, they lose a purse bid that duva lost on purpose. now duva will pull out. If that happens don't call berrera a duck... duva is an awful promoter good luck fighting her fighters
