Many folks recognize either GGG as the MW champ (which I think is premature, he hasn't done enough yet), or will see Mar. 18 as a fight for the vacant title, like me.

Dan Rafael has MW champ vacant, with Canelo having vacated the title - he has Canelo at Jr. MW. I agree with his reasoning.

He has GGG & Jacobs as #1 & #2. I imagine he'd have the winner as champ.

Rafael's opinion or my opinion have as much weight as the Ring or lineal nerds -- if you can use your brain to analyze.

Or you can just agree with what the Ring and/or lineal nerds say, being a tool is always an option.

No, no they don't. Not even close. Your and my and Dans opinion doesn't really mean ****. The record books won't recognise us, they will recognise Lineal and Ring.

the record books are written so that non-boxing folks, or simple minded folks, can be told who was champion

I don't need to consult any record books to know that Sal Sanchez, for example, was a champ. I don't know what ABC titles he had or if he was lineal or not, and I don't care. I know that he was badass because he beat other badasses like Gomez & Professor.

I know boxing, I don't care to know ABC straps, or the Ring's rules or lineal nerdology.

GGG v. Jacobs is NOT on the level of Sanchez' badassery, but its worthy fight for the MW title.

The record books will list Canelo as the lineal champ, but anyone with a brain knows his reign has been a JOKE.

        GGG v. Jacobs

Lineal titles don't actually exist and the Ring magazine is .. a magazine, not a sanctioning organisation. Nobody gives a shit about Ring and Lineal titles.

The only reason you care or even know about Canelo's claim to these nonexistant "titles" is that you are a fanatical GGG hate troll.

Nobody cares? But golovkin fans are making threads about it?

Lineal does exist. Just because you don't see a belt doesn't mean it doesn't.

Only reason i know? I've followed boxing and have known about lineal/ring champs before Golovkin was talked about on here.

You're non-boxing folk, your posts have proven that.

Yeah, lineal exists as a concept. Sometimes the lineal champ is worthy. Sometimes the lineal champ is a joke.

People who stop their boxing analysis at "well, he's the lineal champ" are boxing simpletons...

(or troll haters or huggers, also a possibility)

lol, really, OK point out anything I posted that was incorrect, or not factual

Just because I don't accept lineal as Gospel doesn't make me non-boxing folk -- it makes me boxing folk with my own independent brain.

You don't see a belt, you don't see any sanctioned lineal title fights, and there is no such thing as a lineal title governing body. Ergo: Lineal titles don't actually exist.

Lineal doesn't exist, but is recognised by almost every boxing publication/site/media.

It doesn't exist because my fighter isn't recognised.
