      Actually lets add the plaster paris beating he took as well. Yes he took punishment in the fights you mentioned. Against Canelo I thought Cotto willed his way to recover from some of those shots from a guy two weight classes heavier, which is why he's such a warrior. I think he emptied his tank after that fight. He did well in an unfair fight against a heavier fighter. He should stop fighting now. He had a great career.

        Canelo took more punishment versus Mayweather, than he did versus Cotto.

        Cotto was one of Canelo's easiest fights.
