The Ali Act had nothing to do with McGregor's UFC contract. Without Dana White signing off on it he will get sued but maybe it might be worth paying that price if it doesn't exceed what he otherwise would be forced to accept by Dana White. But he's not ****** and is making theses statements to try to leverage bargaining position with Dana.

I sincerely doubt that McGregor even thinks he can land a single punch on Mayweather. He just wants the money and will have to retire after which is probably what he wants...except he will look really bad and very much exposed. I just hope he can keep enough of the money in the end to be able have made it all worth-while.

As for Mayweather...why wouldn't he ride this for his second biggest payday? It fell in his lap and people will watch for the circus it will be...but I won't spend a penny on it. But it DOES appear to be happening now one way or another.

I agree and am having a hard time figuring out what he thinks might be an Ali Act violation. This would simply be a contract dispute.

99% of boxers and UFC fighters have in their contracts a provision that basically says they will not compete in any combat related events without the expressed written consent of their promoter. Period. And some of those provisions extend to exhibition matches, and even sparring. So Im not seeing what it has to do with the Ali Act.

But if McGregor tried to go ahead without Dana, I suspect Dana would try to get an injunction blocking the fight, same as King did to prevent Mayorga from fighting in an MMA match.....

Basically its a fiasco and floyd is just using mcgregor as a blatant money grab....by all means if floyd wants to fight he should be fighting a proven proffesional boxer who at least can say he's a boxer......anybody that condones this circus act has no respect for boxing....its like usain bolt offering to race lionel messi ......if they wanna do it then donate it to charity all the revenue but giving mayweather a 100 million dollar check for this....come on what the f@ck is wrong with this world...

Again if the UFC is allowing fighters to compete in jiujitsu tournaments where there is a risk of having a leg or arm broke, legally Conor can win.
