I understand the general uninformed public getting excited about this, but for anyone on a boxing forum like this to seriously wish for this bull**** to actually happen is insane.
No commission should approve McGregor to fight anyone who is at a championship level. If he wants to box, he should start off against a tough mexican kid with a record of 4-6-1. This is embarrassing all around.
Seriously though, I would watch it IF Conor could get past certain guys that otherwise aren't that good. Like Paulie, Zab Judah or Algieri. Or even Van Heerden who already embarrassed him in sparring.
If he can totally school a gatekeeper, then I'd be at least partially convinced. Then I'd want to see him go against someone of a little more quality than that. Like Canelo, Manny, Cotto, etc.
Get past that and I'd like to see him go against GGG.
Get past THAT, and I'd be convinced he has a chance against TBE.
Reason Floyd doesn't want that is that he knows Conor would get schooled by gatekeepers, making it less lucrative of a fight.Comment

The Ali Act had nothing to do with McGregor's UFC contract. Without Dana White signing off on it he will get sued but maybe it might be worth paying that price if it doesn't exceed what he otherwise would be forced to accept by Dana White. But he's not ****** and is making theses statements to try to leverage bargaining position with Dana.
I sincerely doubt that McGregor even thinks he can land a single punch on Mayweather. He just wants the money and will have to retire after which is probably what he wants...except he will look really bad and very much exposed. I just hope he can keep enough of the money in the end to be able have made it all worth-while.
As for Mayweather...why wouldn't he ride this for his second biggest payday? It fell in his lap and people will watch for the circus it will be...but I won't spend a penny on it. But it DOES appear to be happening now one way or another.Comment

There is a possibility that Conor Mcgregor, can take his case to the "International Court of Human Rights"......if he is being held captive by Dana White!
The UFC reminds me of the movie Django Unchained, accept most of the slave fighters are White men!
R.I.P to the African Americans who sacrificed their lives and gave free labor to help build the United States of America!Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 01-30-2017, 09:46 PM.Comment

I think the way mcgregor to be able to go forward and win with this is he is under contract to the UFC to fight mma. It's a totally different sport, as we all know, from boxing. Since it's a totally different sport, he should be allowed to play, or fight, in that sport. He has a boxing liscense now.

Ellerbe also said McGregor's boxing license is meaningless because of his contract with UFC.
"At the end of the day, he's under contract with the UFC," Ellerbe said. "He's told what to do. He's an employee.
And, like I said, [McGregor] can't do anything without the UFC's approval. There's no way [WME-IMG] spent all that money so they can get their biggest star killed. It would never happen. If they want to get him killed put him in there in a boxing match."Comment
