lol it was a compliment. The young mexicans that get put up against more high profile prospects, usually give a good account of themselves, have some skills, a pro style, and don't have fear.

If I'm not mistaken, Floyd said, he had already offered Conor 15mill and a percentage of the pay per view.

Now don't get me wrong, the UFC brand is probably the most valuable company brand in the fighting world (better than GBP, TR, or Mayweather) - because they have proven time and again, their fans will tune in at respectable numbers for whoever is promoted. Boxing lives and dies on the shoulders of a select few. So I'm not suggesting that UFC is going to shrivel and die without Connor. But they still don't want to see the goose laying golden eggs get slaughtered on the alter of boxing.

At the end of the day, if Dana and the UFC think they have closed the Ali Act loophole, than I'm inclined to believe them. They have a proven track record of not only winning law suits, but scrubbing certain fighters from their history on a whim to prove a point that no one fighter is bigger than the UFC Brand...and I doubt McGregor is the one who's going to bring the promotion titan to their knees.
          Great Post.

what sort of "fan" would prefer that money go to a promoter?

Dana White don't want the fight because he thinks his star losing Mayweather is bad for his sport but that is not the case at all, if anything win or lose it will make McGregor a even BIGGER star when he goes back to MMA

UFC have Multiple Stars and more in the Rise with Cody Garbrandt and a MONSTER HEAVYWEIGHT in Francis Ngannou so trying to stop McGregor from pursing big money with Mayweather only makes them look BAD

Considering the amount of money both could make, I would say a Lawsuit might be worth it for McGregor to get that 25-50 Million

              I think so too

and McGregor could make more than that

Such a sweet, sweet boy. Favorite UFC fighter, but he's hallucinating if he thinks he's more than a fart in a stiff wind in the boxing world, albeit to Mayweather. Floyd puts him down in 4. Otherwise, McGregor self destructs and throws a leg kick once he knows he's done.
