hmm i wouldnt say it would make such a difference becasue he would be using most of his energy to exert the punch not the stop it, but a great benefit i think is that if u slip a punch there is a larger chance of your opponent being off balance, thats when u could throw a nice 1-2-3 to the solar plexus n the chin.

Any fat bastard can stand straight with his hands held up to his face and block some punches. Slippin is a skill, look at tyson slip and weave, he was amazing. I do like the way mayweather slipped and blocked at the same time fighting n'dou.

can still hurt, punches to the bicepts/deltoids and the like still hurt....on the other hand..slipping punches 1. wears the other guy out, allows you to counter punch and if your slipping correctly allows you to sit down on your punchs and use the leverage it creates...slipping for sure

To the guy who said he'd attack winky's body - The reason why winky can fight the way he does is because u can't attack his body - if it was open, he'd have dissappeared off the scene a long time ago.

Examine a normal boxer, exhibit A (Mayorga)

Now check out winky, exhibit B

Compare the difference in arm length.

Winky has FREAKISHLY long arms. I think i once saw a pic of his arms, and standing straight up, they damn near go down to his knees.

Gorilla arms. Because of this, he literally has an impenetrable defense, because a normal boxers guard, which is only supposed to protect the upper half of the body (head, neck, some of chest), will go down to his stomach.

                Body shots? Not really.

I think a clincher could beat winky. that or someone who's physically a lot stronger and can push him around.

Winky's more vulnerable to hooks than short straight punches.
