Slipping is probably more skilled but blocking is more effective IMO.Sometimes you can get caught clean and off balance slipping but rarely the case if you are good blocker......Like Winky for example.

blocking has it's advantages, especially if you have good handspeed and know how to throw short shots

I cant vote cause it depends on who's doing the blocking and slipping. Winky will (at least parcially) block most punches, Toney you couldn't hit cleanly with a baseball bat

Slipping is best coz you can't block a knife.

i think slipping takes more skill than blocking. but i dont think you can become experienced in slipping until you are a confident blocker. it took me a a few months of blocking, n building up the chin, before i could start slipping. i had to also develop my lower back and neck strength so that i could move my whole body with speed.

but i have to say, slipping past a punch feels 10x better than blocking one hahaha, cause its like saying 'suck ****, i saw that, and you didnt even touch me fool!'
