    Martinez made the most of his career, considering he had a late start. It was pretty sad to see his career end the way it did, but he still had a good run.

    Calzaghe could have done a lot more earlier in his career. He has a record number of defenses, but spent years fighting at home against mandatories and no hopers. That Kessler win followed by money fights against Hopkins and Jones was a good way to end his career though.

    Overall Martinez was an overachiever, while Calzaghe was an underachiever.

      Totally different style. Calzaghe has a very unique style. Martinez defensive work could be compared somehow, but not a lot. Calzaghe would swarm you, be on you all the time, no rest. Martinez fights more slick, avoids engagements and steps back.

        no he doesn't. ottke did the same thing as calzaghe but he did it first.
