Wilder is coming back from broken hand along with broken metal pins in the hand, and a torn bicept, I think he can be forgiven for not wanting to fight a ped cheat on his first fight back. At the very least he would need to know for sure that his hand will hold up on his return before facing ped cheats, on a month's notice no less.

Everyone and their mother know's that Scott took a dive. Whether that's because he's a ***** or was paid off, I don't know and I don't care.

Ortiz tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone following a September 11 knockout victory over Lateef Kayode in Las Vegas. He was suspended, fined and had the result of the fight changed to a no contest by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
I think the author could have mention it was Sept 11 2014.

This is a poor excuse for a duck...Ortiz has been enrolled in Vada testing for some time now and has not failed a test since. Wilder would dare face Ortiz.

Your argument only stands if a person tests positive currently. What you're supplying is speculation and judgement (meaning Ortiz is currently clean via VADA--look at their site), none of which is currently factual for said "would be" opponents (they'll consider Wach but not Ortiz?). He broke his hand against a boxer that was ranked 54th in the world then wants to come back and expect the public to watch another fighter who's not ranked in the top 15 fight for the 5th fight in a row? (was someone a 12 or 14 in there? Forgive me, if so). For the most "prestigious belt"--and I do use quotes on that, because he's been well protected for far too long regardless of a setback or two, he shouldn't be too uptight on a guy taking a fight on a month's notice with drug testing. Let's look at Wladimir Klitschko...an older fighter..what--41? Will be out of the ring 17 months by the time he fights a fresh Anthony Joshua. You have to see the demarcation between a champion, and a guy like Wilder. I'm not saying he's not going to be good, but he's wasting a lot of prime years being protected. He gets no respect, because we no nothing about him.
