I personally think it will be Washington, he is supposed to be on this card anyway but they hadn't lined him an opponent yet. Not the ideal opportunity, but if he wins or even looks decent he has his career pretty much set..I want to see the January WBC ratings. Wawrzyk & Povetkin could be out of them entirely. By looking at December I say it's Rudenko, Washington or David Price. Price is chinny he has been training for Hammer & has great power. He also may never get another shot if it's offered to him. Washington is an undefeated American so there is a storyline there but Rudenko is a top 15 guy who has little chance of beating anyone ranked ahead of him & he would take the fight on 4 weeks notice for a smaller purse. He seems like the logical choice to me. Not what I want to see but that is what I suspect will happen.Comment

No question Washington is a strong candidate to get the fight. That makes just as much sense if not more then Rudenko but I got this strange feeling it could be Rudenko only if he is still in the WBC top 15 in the January rankings...Comment

I forgot all about Ortiz steroid past. Yeah, he was caught with Nandrolone in his system back in 2014. We can't really blame Wilder for not being willing to fight a man who was once busted for an anabolic steriod on a month's notice.Comment

So basically, Wilder won't be fighting any heavyweights anymore?Originally posted by Lou DiBella"We eliminated anybody from consideration who has a history of PEDs. We are not going to fight any boxer with a history of PEDs on a month's notice," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.Comment

I can see Wilders point.... but is clear that he is finding any excuse in the book to avoid Ortiz... He has been saying the same thing since Ortiz was found guilty of PED.... and i think that it would be 3 to 4 years before Wilder would be ready to fight Ortiz.. He is going to wait until Ortiz is 50 before he gets in the ring with him... Someone is very scared.... Wilder you are an over hyped HW... step up and stop runningComment

Blaming the victim is not the answer to your frustrations, but speaking out against boxings dirty business might be a good start !Comment
