I thought the whole Tyson Fury situation was just rumors? Nandrolone is a anabolic steroids so now we're talking hardcore cheating.
A lot of times it's the most outspoken people who are the biggest cheaters. Tyson always talks about steroids in boxing accusing fighters (AJ Wlad Haye) I'm always a bit skeptical when it comes to people who love to accuse others but can't come up with any evidence.
He's on that line I think. Got a lot of **** at the time, but it has largely been forgotten. Also when guys use the medical condition excuse it tends to create doubt. Or at least it did. Don't now if anyone buys it anymore.
once Pederson got steam rolled by matthysse people stop giving a **** about him.another one is berto

froid jr comes to mind. IV for dehydration??? hahahaha
Francisco Vargas got popped before the Salido fight but it went ahead anyway. My personal theory is that Salido was on the juice too so he didn't give a ****. It would also explain Salido's wildly variable form over the years. He often looks like a different fighter from bout to bout
Anyway the more I read into doping the more I think it should be legalised and regulated. Trying to stop it feels a lot like swimming against the tide. At minimum, anything available to the gen pop should be available to athletes too
There is literally no way a guy could take EPO and a highly potent anabolic and not know he's on something illegal. It would be impossible. Everyone around him would see the difference. Trainers included.
I remember that Mosley was one of the athletes in the BALCO scandal. Balco was created by Victor Conte and he worked with Angel “Memo” Heredia for a few years. Mosley was one of their client. I think Mosley felt safe cause BALCO had been around for many years and Conte had created PED's that you couldn't get busted for. Once BALCO was exposed and fell apart Mosley had to come clean.
The problem with PED in boxing is not even really testing it is punishment, testing is an issue but if the guys aren't getting punished the testing doesn't mean anything.
The problem with punishment in boxing is most sports it is ok to nail a guy after the fact the money can get made the guy gets stripped of records and shamed publicly. In boxing considering the nature of the sport, getting someone after the fact is too late so that makes events get canceled which hurts all the stakeholders, which makes stakeholders not want to impose the proper punishments or even proper testing in the first place so they don't have to worry about it.
So such pretty much every fighter that has been popped gets a pass because while some fans may bring it up, if a guy that got popped gets a big fight it is not like there is a huge ground swell of support against a guy because of it, at best it is a foot note that gets discussed a bit. Which makes sense the sport does not take the issue seriously because it is not a benefit to do so, so fans are generally going to follow suit. Who has actually been punished in boxing for PED use is a much shorter list.
Until they get some kid of uniform punishment down at least a year first strike unless there is some mitigating factor, it is kind of pointless to really get into more about testing. Who can even implement such a thing though effectively
