His father is from Congo, but is mother is a white french woman, he was born and raised in France, so yes he's a french athlete more than anything else.

Yoka won't be the new AJ, his style is completly different. I don't think he deserved the gold at the Olympics, he was getting a beating all fight.he's also been knocked out cold in the ams, not just a knock down and ref stoppage, fully Ko'd

That being said he's big, has the physique to be hyped by casuals and had a good amateur career. From what i've seen he can be a bit of a heel too so could end up calling people out and getting some interest that way.

The rest of them you just need to hope become entertaining fighters, because being An Olympic boxer doesn't mean much anymore if you didn't win gold.
How is conlan an immediate "stud"???????????????

Ringstar is for real. I'd bet Ringstar is gonna be among the top 3ish promoters in the business within 3 to 4 years. Book it.

You think Conlan is gonna be on more of a Loma pace than Spence pace? Idk about that lol.

Arum is notorious for moving promising guys well, but generally slower than most other promoters. He was actually trying to talk Loma down from Loma wanting to fast track himself. I'd assume Conlan gots 15-20 fights & 2.5-3yrs into his career before he fights anyone the average NSB lurker, 4 posts or less a week poster cares about.

Let's not forget that AJ was pretty "lucky" with a couple of decisions in the Olympics too, and had also been stopped in his am career. Yoka is actually more skilled than AJ, I would say, while being pretty comparable in terms of athletic talent. His possible fragility is a concern, though. I wonder if he will pack on muscle like AJ did when he turned pro

By the way, I hope Schaefer will let Yoka fight in France fairly regularly. I was hoping that he, like Joshua, could lead a boxing renaissance in his home country

believe that he will become the face of french boxing. He doesn't possess as much power as AJ in my opinion and isn't an aggressive fighter. We will see though, maybe he'll change how he fights as a pro.

When I say conlan will move fast, I meant his stardom And ability to sell himself and get networks to pay to televise him. He's ready for the spotlight, I follow him on twitter he's constantly meeting with the head honchos in the sport, arum has big plans for him.

I agree, he obviously won't be thrown to the sharks the way loma was.

Yoka has a major deal with the top French network over there. He'll get tons of exposure..
