If you continually face top opposition and perform fairly well, I don't think you can be considered a bum.

A lot of their losses were close fights and were good fights. Glen pretty much fought everyone and was always regarded as a legitimate test to anyone. He was always considered a hard guy to fight. He was robbed quite a few times too.

Salido fought for world titles on several occasions and won some of them. He got robbed against Martinez.

Not world class elite fighters, but far from bums.

It's not about the number of losses you have, its about how you fought when you loss. If you got beat up, KOed, or clearly outclassed in multiple losses, you're not good. If you lose in a close fight, or got robbed, the loss doesn't look that bad.

Not all of their losses are actual losses really. Johnson was always fighting on the road and got lousy decisions. I don't consider them bums at all. If you look back at a lot of great fighters from past eras, many of them had double digit loss columns. As long as they have great wins to go with it, they aren't bums IMO.

Like if there's a fighter who's a hot prospect coming up and is lets say 17 - 0 with 14 KO's and he steps up in class for the first time and faces a gatekeeper. If he gets KOed real bad then that guy clearly isn't good.

It's like Jeff Lacy. He was a bum type fighter. Glen Johnson and Orlando Salido are P4P wayyyy above Jeff Lacy.

Idk what most fans definition of a bum is but mine doesn't include 99% of the guys we talk about on this forum on any given day. Any top ten caliber guy could never be considered a bum in my eyes.

                Don't forget Roy Jones Jr.

                That bum has 9 losses.

No. They beat Lomachenko and Roy Jones Jr respectively.

Solid fighters with more heart than skills. They will give most fighters a hard 12 rounds on any given night

                      Glen Johnson (54-21-2)

Combined these guys have 34 losses. Guys with a lot less losses than this are considered bums. Is there a difference? & y?

Fyi, i like both guys. I picked these 2 bcuz ive always thought of them as having similar careers.
Glen in his day nah but now I consider him a gate keeper type of fighter.

Salido I consider a running joke this guy is an embarrassment he isn't a bum but how this guy continues to be rated as highly as he has been... for what damn reason!!??

In his past six fights -
He gets gifted the chance to fight Orlando Cruz for a world title and this was after he got schooled by Mikey Garcia but forced Garcia to stop their fight early because Saldio deliberately headbutted and broke Mikeys nose very badly.

                      But anyway
First fight - Beats Orlando Cruz for a world title, should never have been a world title he just lost a damn world title why are you giving him another shot at it?

Second fight, he then fight Lomachenko for another world title but he can't win the title because he didn't bother his ass to make weight he was well over the limit, he goes onto robbing Lomachenko with similar dirty antics punching on the balls and the corrupt referee and judges in his favour so here comes the counter that's one world title shot he blew

Third fight, some Asian guy nothing to say big deal this guy he beat was only for an interim belt not a real belt.

Fourth fight Roman Martinez for another world title, he puts on a good fight but loses so... two world title shots he blew

Fifth fight Roman Martinez again and yet again he gets gifted another damn world title shot even though he wasn't the champion but what happens... he blows it once again THREE world titles shots fxcked

Sixth fight Franciso Vargas whilst both Martinez fights were good Martinez this one is another good one to watch but the problem here is how in fxcks name did he secure another world title shot this time against Vargas which for your information he didn't win again!! FOUR world title shots ruined in the last six fights, 3 shots at a world title in a row that is and he's not been the victor a single one time in those 3 shots!!

In short he's a damn joke and he is being given way too many gifts that he quite frankly doesn't deserve at all!
