Do u consider these guys bums?

    Orlando Salido (43-13-4)
    &
    Glen Johnson (54-21-2)

Combined these guys have 34 losses. Guys with a lot less losses than this are considered bums. Is there a difference? & y?

Fyi, i like both guys. I picked these 2 bcuz ive always thought of them as having similar careers.

It's not necessarily about who you lose to, it's about who you beat.

Johnson is a glorified bum in my book.

I put more stock into Salido.

I'm a fan of both Siri Salido and Glen Johnson.

        It's easy to judge.

I wouldn't call him a glorified bum. Glorified bums don't win RING titles or Fighter of the Year honors, but I do think Glen is overrated.

He had a meteoric rise in 2004. With 9 losses already on his record, he won his first world title vs. Clinton Woods (IBF), knocks out Roy Jones Jr. in spectacular fashion, and wins the RING title vs. Antonio Tarver (should have been an IBF/WBC unification as well but both were stripped before the fight). Most people held the RING title at 175 lbs. in greater esteem than the lineal title at that time. He was a unanimous choice for Fighter of the Year.

Then he goes back to being a journeymen and loses to any meaningful opponent. 5 losses later he gets a replacement slot in the Super Six and revitalizes his career by knocking out Allan Green and securing a spot in the semifinals vs. Carl Froch. He gives Froch all he can handle in a close fight but comes up short.

Then he loses 6 more fights after as he continues to fight for a paycheck into his mid-40s. So basically his career is 2004 and the Super Six.

I don't think Salido is a bum he lost a lot of his early fights because he started when he was 16
