99% of press conferences are "dead". They arent designed to be entertaining. They are simply to provide quotes and storylines for the media to help promote the event. This "jerry springer" type crap isnt helpful to the overall image of the sport, and certainly wouldnt sway a top end advertiser to attach their name to it. If anything it would steer them away from being associated with a clown show like Garcia........

We've gotten a few Manny (Nike), Canelo (UnderArmour), Joshua (UnderArmour) ads in the last five years, but I can't think of any others.

I believe Ward and GGG both have Jordan brand deals but those are minor.

Danny actually has a few minor corporate sponsors too if you check out his social media. I don't think his father's actions have any real bearing on his marketability.

People perceived Tyson to be "insane" back in the day and he had big sponsors. It really boils down to the individual boxer.

I've have never known controversy to be a bad thing for a boxing presser in my life. The bizarre things bring attention to an otherwise boring affair. I don't think his slurs are okay, but it's not like we're talking about a bright guy here either lol he's just trying to hype up the fight b/c his son is always pretty chill pre-fight.

angel is going to be angel. i also think he diverts the attention crowd, media and cameras to him to relieve son of any outside distraction or non-ring stress that danny might not be able handle. then again he also eats up the attention and loves to hear himself speak. i think it started as a plan to help danny with the PR part of the business but now the Angel show has taken a life of its own.
