be honest though, that press conference was dead until Angel grabbed the mic. you remove him and there's nothing to talk about. also it's a tactic of his to rattle his son's opponents, that's why Danny just sits there smirking.

I love Thurman. He's a borderline parody of himself. But when it comes down to it, he loves boxing and always has great insight.

He's also a bad mother****er on the flute. His opponents hear these sweet dulcet tones and they're thinking "this a ice cold killer right here, one time is one time too many"

99% of press conferences are "dead". They arent designed to be entertaining. They are simply to provide quotes and storylines for the media to help promote the event. This "jerry springer" type crap isnt helpful to the overall image of the sport, and certainly wouldnt sway a top end advertiser to attach their name to it. If anything it would steer them away from being associated with a clown show like Garcia........

Imo, the winner of this fight should fight Angel Garcia!

^^^exactly^^^ the WWE has strived into a multi BILLION dollar industry living off characters like Garcia, press conferences are supposed to be an entertaining lead up to the fight.

Just watched this presser, Angel's IQ has been taken into the minus numbers via crack whilst Danny just sits there awkwardly/embarrassedly grinning like a little b*tch.

The random insults against immigrants was pretty funny though. Shows the mindset of those kind of voters.

Please enlighten us and tell us what 'top end advertiser' has been attracted to boxing in the last 40 years.

Hasn't happened since SRL was doing 7up commercials.

The WWE had writers, storylines, and larger than life characters that all merged together. Angel Garcia is guy people look at and see a loser, trying to make himself the star of his son's career.

If you want to engage the public you need a bit more than a guy who doesn't even fight yelling some racist ****.

I know what you mean BUT look at the attention its gotten. If Danny and Keith did the conference a lone itd look like a Bert and Ernie episode. I dont agree with what Angel said BUT I dont agree with what the crackheads outside my favorite liquor store yell out either but I still give em a buck. A squeaky wheel gets the grease and in this case it feels seats.
