Danny seems to try and laugh it off, but you would think its gotta bother him on some level when his pops acts like an ignorant fool all the time.

Don't know if it does or it doesn't but their personalities are the complete opposite. You would not think that one man raised the other. Maybe he didn't. Maybe that's the thing.

Danny needs to talk more though. He speaks well in interviews so I don't see what the problem is. You can't be a star letting someone else talk for you all the time.

Angel is definitely a real character, but the press conference was really boring until he got up and started clowning. Although I'd like to hear Danny more, I don't mind the entertainment either.

actually, they dont. What boxing "needs" is to be able to appeal to large scale mainstream advertisers, and the last thing they want is their brand being affiliated with some 50+ year old clown yelling "punk azz ni**a" over and over at press conferences.

i feel embarrassed for danny at times.. like when angel started going off, you can tell danny's not like that at all but it seems like he's scared to tell his pops to chill or something. maybe his pops used to beat his ass as a kid?

Yup hate him or love him one of the best things Floyd did was become his own man. Floyd Sr got locked up and Roger took over and even though Roger was a much better fighter in his day he didn't make it about him didn't seek the limelight and let it be about Floyd Jr. That's why when Sr came back and tried to take over the show he was acting like Angel and making it about him they clashed. It wasn't until Sr started realizing it's about Jr they became cool again. I think Danny could be a bigger and more respected Star if he spoke more for himself and Angel was replaced or takes a back seat. It's just not a good look for danny how he embarrasses his son time after time.

maybe? he beats his azzz on camera started smacking his own son in the middle of fights. no doubt danny fears him and got whooped back in the day.
