I don't mean to come off as angry, I just wanted to take a second to humiliate you. What kind of boxing fan laughs at bad ratings for a great fight and a great card overall (even down to the SHO Extreme bouts)? A real fan would be disappointed, not boastful.

If you think changing the President of Showtime is going to make the average American watch more fights on Showtime then you are so far gone that there is no bringing you back. You put on great fights and hope they watch. If they don't watch, then that's an indictment on the sport, not the guy making the great fights.

Oh yes, I'm humiliated... Dude what kind of hypocrite are you? You're always posting ratings and now you're throwing a hissy-fit b/c I say get rid of the the guy in charge (btw he's not President of Showtime....) during the downward spiral that's lasted 2 years? Calm down boy, I didn't realize he was your uncle.

I post ratings for informational purposes. When a **** fight does bad ratings, I'll laugh at it. If this thread was about the Lara-Foreman ratings, have at it. I just don't get why you have bad things to say when Showtime is not only putting up great fights on paper, but fights that are delivering in the ring. That should be celebrated, even if the ratings are low.

The reason they have money to put on boxing is because of the Floyd deal. HBO let Floyd go and they don't have money for boxing. These idiots can't put 2 and 2 together

"Why does this man who made more money on boxing for Showtime than any other time in Showtime's history still have a job at Showtime?"

            Fucking idiots

That's disappointing to hear. The card was pretty good, not sure how much more they can improve. At the end of the day fans need to support the sport of boxing for it to progress...

Marketing, marketing, marketing. That's the biggest problem in the sport of boxing.

These promoters have to do a better job of marketing these fighters. The main problem with the PBC is getting them to decide which fighters should be on what network. If Al Haymon and PBC management concentrate on marketing their fighters exclusively on a certain network the viewership numbers would increase.

That's the main reason why HBO fighters are much easier to identify with compared to the PBC fighters. Marketing

I cant say this enough, Al Haymon has single handedly brought boxing down to the bottom by putting on garbage fights for years which in turn drove millions of boxing fans away and over to UFC. My grandfather watched boxing since the 40's and now he refuses to watch even good free fights, instead preferring to watch UFC and that has been the case with millions of people in America. Its a tragedy too because there are so many great fighters right now and there were so many greatfights that could have been made over the years but instead we got garcia salka and broner theophane. Now we still get the likes of broner granados lol what a shame what al haymon did to boxing and thats the truth

Good fights are more important than ratings. But Espinoza needs to learn how to create important context for the good fights, and learn better timing when to do them, and learn to string them together and do them more frequently, as well as also mix those guys with some of the HBO top guys then let them come back in order to contextualize their place in the sport which creates drama later knowing someone really is the best, and not just the best on Showtime.

Thats what they get for continuing to give mismatches. Now they have to constantly show good match ups if they want people to subscribe. Simple, best vs best gives u the best results.
