LOL This time there wont be any Olympic Games broadcast leading directly into your fight. Dream on.

Never gonna happen. Boxing just can't draw the public interest anymore. For fighters to gain recognition, they need to cross over into pop culture and be known. Promoting the hell out of a fight can only do so much if people don't even know who the hell these guys are. People identify with what's familiar, that's it.

There's a big UFC card that same night, I'll be sure to tell the bar to put one of the tv's onto the fight, otherwise they won't even know about it.
The UFC card starts later though, no?

The Spence Bundu fight was on right after the olympics, which was a stroke of genius. I was at a party at the time and they had Olympics on.. after they were over, nobody changed the channel and we just kept watching boxing. TBH I completely forgot about the fight until it came on.

If it does, I hope both guys put on a performance that will have the hardcore and casual boxing fans buzzing about the fight

I don't know that they'll draw that many viewers but I do hope that they get a good amount.

I feel like this is the big fight PBC has been building for. It's seems like the biggest PBC events were with Danny or Keith (or Broner) fighting as the headliner. Now they are facing each other. I hope PBC does some good advertising to draw casuals' the interest in this great fight.

There isn't even 8 million people who have cable in the U.S. Who know who these 2 are.

Feels like years since I've even seen this dudes fight. Boxers are so delusional especially the Haymon guys.

UFC card's start at 8pm on FOX and ppv starts at 10pm.

I think Thurman/Garcia could possibly get 5mill, but will probably do a little over 4mill (hopefully). For the fight only being 2 months away, there's very little media push for it. There's a ton of casual fans who would enjoy that fight but won't ever know about it. When I'm at the BWW's, I'll have to tell them about it or nobody will even turn it on a tv to that channel (like past PBC fights).
