So true. We've seen none of this pressure put on a GGG or Kovalev at all by the media, but the bruvva's always have to move up. Mayweather has to jump two to fight Golovkin, Crawford was randomly asked about Errol Spence to steer him away from Pacquio, Ward was accused of being scared of Kovalev while being steered away from GGG.everytime particular fighters do well they are always required to go up in weight n fight someone or if they are on this rise they have to fight the best guy in the division because they have a little hype. Like tank davis now has to fight Loma? Crawford needs to go up and fight Spence? (HBO for some reason brought up spence after crawfords last win), floys needed to fight GGG, Ward was scared of Kov, Etc. I really don't get or understand why this is. then when and if they go up and fight the guys u say they are scared of and win or make it a close fight u go crazy and make excuses, nothing is ever enough for particular fighters.
However, maybe it isn't all bad (big maybe), maybe the bruvva's are a victim of their own illustrious history in the sport and current skill level that people just expect so much more from them.
Personally I don't think the high expectation is wrong. The bruvvas (most of them) are representing America and America is supposed to be this great and all conquering nation. So why not throw the bruvvas in to the deep end and let them conquer the lands and the oceans instead of cherry picking, ducking, being inactive, and wasting their talents (Andrade you clown!!!!!).
Look at it this way. The harder the challenges they face and overcome, the greater their legacies will become, irrespective of the media's agenda.Comment

Everything in the world doesn't revolve around those two. Arum has been letting fights "marinate". His fighters never fight outside the house when their is a chance at a loss. After jack Johnson lost his belts the white champ refused to fight another black fighter, and Floyd Patterson avoided Liston as long as he could. Fighters have always made business decisions, don't act like this is something new, and unless you are personally going to guarantee that these fighters will get the same purses in their following fights after losses, like every other sport does, then you have no right to tell them how to operate their livelihood.Wow, just wow. Is this truly what Mayweather and Haymon have done to boxing, what they are teaching their boxers? Is this truly what boxing fans are going to accept? That fighting the best guys your size is somehow "foolish" for one of the best?
I think this is precisely why the PBC ratings have gone down so much. Fans root for boxers, for warriors, for the competition of sport, not for businessmen who avoid competition. Boxing is a business but it's the business of competition. Without the competition, the sport ceases to exist, and so do the fans and the money. That's what is happening. If you're not competing to try to be the best you can be and challenge yourself until you find out how good you are, then why would fans care about your career? They will go find a real sportsman boxer to root for instead.
Broner has it all wrong here. I can't be a fan of this. Spence-Crawford should not only be made, it should be made no later than 2018.Comment
