I think this is precisely why the PBC ratings have gone down so much. Fans root for boxers, for warriors, for the competition of sport, not for businessmen who avoid competition. Boxing is a business but it's the business of competition. Without the competition, the sport ceases to exist, and so do the fans and the money. That's what is happening. If you're not competing to try to be the best you can be and challenge yourself until you find out how good you are, then why would fans care about your career? They will go find a real sportsman boxer to root for instead.

Broner has it all wrong here. I can't be a fan of this. Spence-Crawford should not only be made, it should be made no later than 2018.
What is Top Rank teaching Crawford? What is Pacquiao teaching Crawford by fighting Horn? Did Crawford see how TR turned on Rigo? Did Crawford see Nicholas Walters get shelved for 2016? Why did Oscar, Mayweather, Cotto, Gamboa, and MIkey Garcia leave TR? PBC had a great weekend, and the 28th will be even better! Where is Top Rank in 2017? Click on the schedule and tell me what big plans does TR have for 2017? Compare their schedule to the PBC!

Why does a unified champion at 140 need to go up 7 pounds to fight a contender? If Crawford goes up it to fight a champion like the winner of Thurman vs Garcia or pac

This fight doesn't need to happen for atleast 2018-19 when Crawford settles in 147 and spence get a name or two on his side

This is bs but at the same time i understand!

Spence needs to fight Berto, Porter, Soto Karass, Diego Chaves, Pacquiao or Devon Alexander..idk

Crawford should aim for Broner vs Granados winner and hope Julius Indogo beats Burns for the IBF/WBA belts which is very possible!

I don't like the fact welters are either talking about Garcia vs Thurman winner, Pacquiao or Cotto but refuse to mention Spence!

The man was trying to fight all the guys who are close to the mandatories of the other belts and all those guys declined to fight him!

Very surprised Porter isn't jumping in with the kid or Lamont Peterson....

Brook needs to give his belt up so the kid can get his career moving, obviously he wants another cash out fight!

Top rank has more top ten pound for pound fighters. Pacman, Crawford, and Lomachenko. They are limited if they dont work with others. We see they work with haymon for the Molina fight, so that is a good sing.

It depends on whose list you're looking at. In Crawford's position, it's really irrelevant if he can't fight Pacquiao until Neveruary 32nd! PBC has Broner, Barthelemy, Felix Diaz, and Sergei Lipinets @ 140. They have Garcia, Thurman, Khan, Porter, and Spence @ 147. They have Zlaticanin, Mikey Garcia, and Robert Easter Jr. @ 135! Crawford wouldn't be hoping for fights (Pacquiao), he would be choosing fights if he were with Haymon!

Those are the fights that greatness is made of. To move up and fight an undefeated pop champion (by the time they would fight Spence would have unified the division) ... **** it's almost the exact reason Duran is an ATG.

Crawford weights 152-154 on fight night. What is 7 pounds above the devision he is scared to move in. This guy kills himself to make 140 and fight naturally smaller fighters.
