It is hypocritical is it not? So people go from doubting the kid to now having these crazy expectations for him. He can work his way to Loma and they can unify eventually but damn the guy haven't even been a Champion for a week. It is not about protecting nothing, not a Davis fan like that coming into that fight, I like everybody else had my doubts going into that fight I didn't pick him to win either BUT he made me a fan the Old Fashion but after his big win can he enjoy it.

Loma beat Russell he took like 2-3 winnable fights to build himself up more before fighting Roman Martinez. If Davis choose to do that I have no problem with that at all.

nah its a different situation. Beterbiev has a vast amateur pedigree and has beat kovalev twice in the amateurs. He also gave usyk tough fights in the amatuers despite being much smaller. This, coupled with how impressive he looks as a pro means hes worthy of a degree of hype. Ive also never made fantasy fights of beterbiev against ATG's, like people have with spence.

Beterbiev was a very good amateur, but as a pro, you're judging him based on skill rather than achievement, correct? Plenty of top amateurs haven't made it as pros, I believe Beterbiev will make it, but that's my opinion, he has to prove it, just like Spence. And Spence was also a top amateur despite being a late starter (15 I believe).

The truth is, like somebody said earlier on this thread, you don't want see somebody beat Brook more impressively than your idol, which is quite disturbing. That's the only reason I can think of as to why you don't support Spence like you do other exciting power punchers.

but the thing is crawford's best win was against gamboa and spence's best win was against algieri. yes, the same algieri that manny got crucify for fighting.

one was a title fight that algieri did not deserve and the other was a step up fight that some said he was going to lose
