Golovkin/Jacobs for the lineal title?

Many here dont know the difference between being the ring champion and lineal champion, i wouldnt waste too much time with them...Comment

Does the lineal, not the ring championship have rules by which the title is vacated? If not, they probably should introduce some.
Current boxing is to fragmented with x belts, catchweights and so on.
Lineal title shouldnt be won at a catchweight and subsequently defended at a catchweight. Makes no sense and just dilutes everything.Comment

Whole point of the lineal is that it is passed down the line. Unless Canelo loses or retires, he's still gonna have it. Just because you don't like it (and believe me, I don't either) doesn't mean we should pick and choose what suits us.Comment

he will lose it if he continues to fight outside the weight class he has until the end of this year to defend it or he gets stripped.Comment

I'm not talking about the RING
We will have to wait and see what TBRB and/or CBZ have to say on the matter.
According to some posts on this thread, Canelo will continue to be champion unless he 'permanently' retires the division, which is false. The title would become vacant if a fighter vacates the division, which Canelo appears to be doingComment

You know full well Canelo is going to be fighting at 160, you just want Golovkin to be recognised as lineal without actually winning it. Seems Golovkin fans are used to him being given things without fighting for them.I'm not talking about the RING
