crawfords current CV is garbage. People slate ggg for beating brook but the size difference between gamboa and crawford was even bigger, and gamboa was having some success. unifying at 140 doesnt mean ****, its an awful division. Even postol wasnt that great.

Depends on who he fights and beats I guess. Minus the stinker he had in his last fight, he's been looking pretty good thus far.

He hasn't really cleaned out the division though. It would be a step in the right direction but he needs to beat all of the contenders not just the belt holders.

There's absolutely no comparison between Mayweather and Crawford, in terms of resume or skill. Different caliber of fighters.
Couldn't have put it better myself .

Y'all gotta be realistic. Crawford is good but 140 sucks. To become undisputed he'd have to beat a fighter he's already beat when he wasn't as good as he is now.

I've seen footage of Crawford getting thoroughly outboxed by Sadam Ali in the amateurs, it was a fan recorded video on youtube which has been taken down now. If you do some research on his amateur background, you'll see he took a lot of losses against guys like Garcia, Belmontes, Ugas etc. He's obviously made improvements since then, but your amateur background is a strong indicator of your skill level and I'm just not sold on Crawford skillwise. It's not just his resume.

He loses too many rounds against low level fighters for my liking, guys like Burns, Dulorme, Lundy etc.

I would love to see him fight Felix Diaz, that would be a true test of his skill and the best opponent he's fought to date.
I can't agree with that. First Crawford had an amazing amateur career, he owns wins against both the Garcia brothers, he almost made the Olympic for team USA.

But amateur career is not determining a profesionnal career. If you know a bit Crawford history, you certainly heard of him getting shot after playing a dice game in the street. That was i believe like one day before he had a fight comming. I think Crawford real starting point in his career is that event. Since then, he became serious with his career and took it to the next level.

As for the Mayweather comparison. I, too, believe Crawford is the same caliber of Mayweather. For the reason that no matter how good the competition he face is, he always made it look easy, just like Mayweather always did. He's a clear level above every of his opponents. I think he has better offense than Mayweather ever had. Maybe Mayweather defense is a bit better, but Crawford take more risk, is more offensive minded than Mayweather. Honestly, i think Crawford is more a threat to anyone than Mayweather ever was. When your in the ring with Crawford, it's a real fight you're in. Your're facing no guy who's going to run for 12 rounds to not get hit. You know it's going to be a war. Who has Crawford fought that he did not hurt multiple time during the fight? And Crawford is less predictable on his style than Mayweather. You can never know how he's going to fight, he's just so versatile, more versatile than Mayweather for sure. Mayweather ever had one good defensive technique he used and was the best at it. Crawford actually have a better ring IQ, be cause he always adjust to his opponents, he dosent have a predetermined style.
