Even if he manages to get down to 164.5, which I don't know his body will allow, he will be a shell of himself. A few good body punches will end the fight after being drained like that. The ironic part is Canelo is already going around saying he is the one taking the risk by jumping up in weight. In reality he will have a huge advantage.
    Yes...............

I don't see Chavez Jr making this weight. He's been notoriously a undisciplined fighter. Not eating right, skipping training sessions.

It will be very interesting to see who trains him whether it be Roach or Garcia.

If I was Golden Boy Promotions i would have Lemieux on the undercard and ready just in case Chavez Jr knows he won't make the weight weeks out before the fight.

              $1M per pound! LOL

The boy Jr got straight up killed in negotiations.

I said this in another thread, but Chavez is going to end up paying Canelo to fight him.

Yep. They tried to be clever and throw that in to counter the stringent drug tests iirc. Still can't believe people let them get away with that situation.

This fight means Canelo has vacated his 'lineal' title by moving away from the middleweight division

Most places see two fights away from a division as vacating

Lineal champ means you beat the man that beat the man... The only way to lose it is by defeat and so far he hasn't loss. Canelo is the lineal champ at least until some one beats him then the lineal title becomes vacated
