Canelo is taking a risk he's never fought above 155 and now he's moving to a weight class without testing it out first. I believe he is banking on Chavez Jr being over weight or drained. If Chavez come in, in shape it could backfire on Canelo.

So Canelo agrees to move up because of the "significance of the fight". So basically the GGG fight to him has no significance. He's feels "too small" to move up 6lbs to fight GGG and wants him to come down to 155lbs. Yet for Chavez he can move up 10.5 lbs and fight 164.5lbs. This ginger is so spoiled and has become such a diva. I know it won't happen but I hope Jr lays off the weed and whoops Canelo's a$$.Comment

...wow, makes more sense to me now, thanks for sharing that, I'm in Puerto Rico, and believe me, we want Chavez to beat that ass!!!What americans dont know is that when canelo was filling all them arenas in México and was with Televisa network and Chávez was with tvazteca canelo openly Challenge him to a fight SAying that Chávez was only getting fame cause of his dad.so thats when the rivalry start it. Chávez answer him , back in the day by saying"send me the contract and ill sign it. dont need to be Challenging me on national tv. enough said".Comment

Canelo is a genuinely clever young man and the mental gymnastics he performs to justify either staying at 154/155 or fighting at 164 lbs, is truly impressive. I had no idea it was all down to variable gravitational effect that the Moon has on Earth. I just assumed it was down to him being scared of that hard-punching Korean guy.Comment
