It's worth it because Chavez will kill his body making the weight.

I think he has to fight GGG after this side show fight. If not, he is really the disgrace the haters say he is. I give him a real shot against GGG their styles seem to suggest he has a chance to win. No matter how good a man's chin is one well timed and perfectly placed shot will put any man down. Canelo is a counter puncher and has some power, not GGG power but he can punch.

Haha, exactly. I'd rather feel a little heavy on the scales than feel like I'm about to pass out.

He won't be fighting GGG in September after this fight.

He'll claim it was a gruesome preparation or some bs, and that he'll think about it over his vacations lol.

Weight risk? Who is he trying to fool? Maybe the casuals.

Everyone knows he will be beating a zombie.

...he's really taking this fight now because he's getting paid like 6x more than Chavez...and that's gonna be his downfall...Chavez has been after him for years, so I know Chavez will really train properly for this fight, and on Cinco de Mayo weekend...this is huuuuge!!! War Chavez!!! Canelo's days are numbered...this will be his biggest pay-day..he don't want to fight those young black studs like the Charlos, Jacobs, Andrade, or much less GGG...it's all about the Benjamins!!!

What americans dont know is that when canelo was filling all them arenas in México and was with Televisa network and Chávez was with tvazteca canelo openly Challenge him to a fight SAying that Chávez was only getting fame cause of his dad.so thats when the rivalry start it. Chávez answer him , back in the day by saying"send me the contract and ill sign it. dont need to be Challenging me on national tv. enough said".
