This fight you believe it when you see it. Chavez has to make a weight that he has not in ages. Plus he will have to past drug testing which he failed a couple of times water pills to make weight. Then if someone gets in his ear of how he is basically getting a 70/30 split against he might not like that .Comment

$40m in 2012 was earnestly about what Pacquiao's share on the fight would've been anyway; the biggest fight in the history of the sport, at that point, saw Oscar and Floyd share ~$85m-$90m in 2007, once all the outside parties took their share. Anyone who earnestly believed that Mayweather-Pacquiao would've ended up clearing $100m for the fighters in 2012 is a bit deluded.any knowledge boxing fan knows offering 15 mil to Ggg is a way to duck and save face...like Floyd initially offering 40mil to PAC. Canelo' s statement of " I am not a MW and need to build my body up to 160" was a direct quote frm him trying to justify delaying the GGG fight til 2017. Now is obvious Bs!!
Alvarez-Golovkin is a big fight, but it's not even as big as Oscar-Floyd was in 2007; you add that Alvarez is clearly a world's bigger star (4:1 is likely where the split should be anyway), and the notion that the fight clears world's more than $60m for the fighters is also deluded.
People drastically overestimate the amount of money that's currently willing to be spent on seeing Golovkin fight.Comment

put it in Dallas, and have ICE check everyone on their way out of the stadiumPlease put this fight in Dallas! I think the energy level at AT&T Stadium would be way higher than at the disappointing T-Mobile Arena.
Olympic style drug testing doesn't mean anything if the protocol is weak. They can pick and chose what drugs are prohibited and when those drugs are tested for.Comment
