Great fighters are great fighters.

You could take the greatest fighters of all time and you could drop them into any era. They would all have been successful.

You have said that any of today's top fighters would have destroyed any fighter from Dempsey's era. But that statement is completely ignorant.

The best fighters of Dempsey's era were:

Gene Tunney
Benny Leonard
Jimmy Wilde
Harry Greb

I've done a lot of research over the years, and they were great fighters.

There's no evidence to support the theory that it would be a given that they would be destroyed today.

I'm not as high on Joshua as some, but it's Wilder who's uncoordinated/off balance. He looks crude at times.

Mike Tyson at his peak would have destroyed Wilder. Wilder couldn't have timed Mike coming in low with his bobbing and weaving style. Mike would have gotten inside pretty easily and ripped him to the body. Wilder's size advantage would actually have ended up being a disadvantage in a fight against a guy like Mike.

His age

Foreman's agressiveness

The Zaire heat


Ali at his best would never have employed those tactics.


Wilder would have gotten frustrated and would have been windmilling at fresh air all night.
