Maybe, but it's not like the ref was holding Danny down and counting him out at the same time!

He'd already waved the fight off before Jacobs came to and started trying to get up. A ref can't change his mind and say "ok, carry on" after he's stopped a fight.

Refs nowadays are told to keep a fighter down on the canvas after a KO, even if they regain consciousness, until they have been checked by the medical attendant.

The reason for that is the number of times we've seen guys jump up off the floor after being put down, then reel around the ring like drunks, sometimes falling over and hitting their heads on the canvas again.

Being conscious, able to talk, and get up off the deck, does not mean that a fighter has recovered enough to be able to stay on his feet and defend himself. Many times, after taking a hard punch, the mind can be clear but the legs and balance are all over the place.

I feel the exact same. GGG is not just a better puncher than Jacobs, but a better overall boxer

This will be a jab and hook fest for GGG. Now don't get it wrong this isn't gonna be a Klitschko fight. mainly because triple g had so much more confidence in his chin and more belief in his power

That has nothing to do with what you said about a slightly shorter guy not being able to out-jab someone with a moderate reach agvantage.
No biggie, I'm not going to drag you through the coals over it as I think it was just a mistake.

Personally, I don't think he's going to try to out-jab Jacobs either. Very unlikely. I was just busting your balls because the way you said it implied a shorter guy can't out-jab a taller one. Again, no big deal.

Hagler fought lesser names until the big fights came to him.People saying GGG should move up,underestimate the value of being the undisputed middleweight champ.Any of you guys ever complain about Hagler facing ex welterweight Hearns?Whoever's coming up has to go thru GGG or avoid him. That's what being middleweight champ does for you

Golvekin on the other hand is yet to fight a guy that hits harder than him.....
Floyd grew into the higher division. In fact, sometimes he was the bigger fighter. JMM and Manny are two examples.

What? When did you start watching boxing. You think having longer reach means a guy can't use the jab affectively against you. See comment below.

So you haven't sat back and watched all of GGG fights. It's ok. Try it sometime. You'll even see that bs contention he has no head movement challenged and destroyed.
