Yes, Pirog fight was ages ago and he got caught with a perfect shot, but I just don't think Danny is that good. His defense is suspect and skills are average. Can I see him win? Absolutely. He's got power and a great killer instinct. Golovkin has looked poor last 2 fights. Even against Wade he was eating shots for no good reason.

Having said that, I think Golovkin stops him easily by the 6th with a knockdown in the 3rd.

Now look at him, the guy has really grown. He's a huge MW. This man is no walk in the park.





I expect a close fight, and more difficult than GGG-Brook. With DJ maybe even knocking down Golovkin early and having him hurt, and winning most of the first four rounds, putting GGG in survival mode. Then Golovkin slowly starting to grow and being able to knock down DJ late in the fight, possibly stopping him near the 11th or 12th round, or maybe going to the scorecards where GGG wins a close 7-5 fight.

I even expect people to demand a rematch.

I'm on board with this, I only think Golovkin gets him in 8 or 9. DJ will start fast, but GGG will figure him out and break him,down before the championship rounds. Just my prediction.

its going to be a tough fight. If ggg manages to beat jacobs then hes the real deal, no question about it.

He's already the real deal. He doesn't or at least shouldn't get picked on for his skill set, it's obvious superb. He just needs to get big names. Of course not all of that is his fault, but it's hard to claim greatness for a fighter no matter how good he looks till they do this. Hopefully he can accomplish this before father time starts taking his natural gifts away from him.

Hopefully this will be Golovkin's biggest test. I still think if Jacobs doesn't catch him early Golovkin will end the fight for Danny. Just my opinion and I hope it's a competitive fight.

I don't think Danny sees the 8th round.

Danny's got good speed, he's got good pop, decent movement but tends to be a bit wide with his shots leaving him wide open in exchanges (see Mora fight where he got dropped). I know it's beating a dead horse, but Danny also doesn't have the best whiskers. If you're getting dropped by Sergio Mora that's a problem going into a fight with GGG who has power but combined with good ring smarts, experience, overall solid pedigree. Danny will get his shots off but Danny I think succumbs to the pace and gets worn down by GGG's power.
