theres a saying in boxing that every great fighter has one last great fight, I think Pac/Bradley III was that for the Pacman. He out boxed and out fought one of the very top p4p fighters on the planet and probably the second bets welter going. did he drop a round? maybe 2?

I cant see pac repeating anything close to that anymore.
For sure. That being said, Pac would still be the best fighter Crawford has ever faced.

pacquiao has been on teh slide since what, 2010?

crawford is bigger [yes, he's bigger. manny fights at 147 for the money,]
        he's younger
he's got a style that's always troubled pacquiao
        his chin looks very solid
        he can punch

manny is going to press on the gas one of these days and he's not going to have a drop left in the tank. for now, he's good enough to beat the algieri's and the vargas of teh world. there's a reason you see arum trying to get him into garbage fights and steer him away from crawford. for one, crawford doesn't generate the revvie yet. secondly, it's just too much of a risk for manny, who might get lucky and hit the lotto if floyd comes back. those two, unfortunately, would be the biggest fight in boxing by a stretch if floyd came back.

i'd pick crawford to beat pacquiao.

Hard to call it would be young lion vs old

If I was to bet I would put money on crawford to win a decision as Pacquiao is old and been in a lot of wars the JMM/Morales fights and Margarito fight especially cos as one side as it was Pac said himself that fight put him in bed for 2 days after.Crawford is young prime and fresh add to that his abilty to box it would be a tough fight for Pacquiao

"right up there" implying Manny has fought at the top level many times before. Terence has not. That was the point I was making.

              Good analysis.

this is why Arum is bringing Pac on a world tour, its similar with Frank Warren did with Mike Tyson, when Tyson was clearly washed up he let him fight scrubs.

Pacquiao isnt the same fighter, he should have lost the Vargas fight, and Horn will give Pac a really competitive fight. If Pac wins, Arum will take Pac to Europe next against Ricky Burns, this is Arums way of killing two birds with one stone. Milk every ounce out of Pac, and soften him up even more for his young guns in Crawford and Lomachenko.

Floyd is the only better fighter than TC on Manny's resume.

Arum knows TC would wreck Manny...otherwise he would have made the fight already.

I think the problem you have is you seem to be seeing Crawford as the guy that beat Gamboa and Manny as peak Manny. This isn't the case.

This will be aging Manny against a Crawford that is much improved since Gamboa. He is taller, longer reach and can box and move as he showed against Postol. Yes, he leaves himself open but this Manny doesn't have the power or speed of a peak Manny that could more easily capitalize on Craford's mistakes.

I think this is much riskier fight for Manny than many think.
