Ward failed so bad with his PPV.

there was a time, not long ago..... when a boxing "fan" would be castigated for saying dumb shht like that

    e.g.

I am NOT a Golovkin fan, but I stated on numerous occasions that Golovkin should not fight Canelo at 155..... simply because Golovkin is full-of-shht, and the weight would kill him

I said that he should be willing to negotiate, because he ran around for FOUR YEARS talking all that 154-168 smack.... but no real fan wants to see a fighter compromised

you guys are a disgraceful excuse for fans

Love how you think Froch, who never fought at 175 and entered the ring at 172 for Bute is bigger than Ward, who boxed amateur as lightheavy. Funny you think Chavez jr, a former middle, who can still make supermiddle and was completely overpowered at lightheavy is bigger than Ward too. How did you work that out.? But still, answer why Golovkin should do something Ward wouldn't. Fight out of the weight he makes easy, against a the best guy a weight up, with no concessions. Remember, Ward made the best guy a weight up come down a whole division to him!

again, you lie..... same as Dawson

Dawson offered to fight at 168, Canelo offered to fight at 152

not saying either were right, but I am saying that Dawson/Canelo did not offer to compromise themselves..... but Golovkin did attempt to compromise Ward, no question

        1) because he ran around for FOUR YEARS saying that he can "beat anyone from 154-168"

        2) because he mentioned fighting Froch, Chavez, Hopkins, Degale, Chudinov, and Ramirez..... ALL at 168

        3) because Ward obviously could not make 164 without being compromised

You think Dawson lied before the fight on the Road to Ward Dawson show when he said he originally asked for 170 all you like. How do you know? This was before he lost. Why didn't Ward agree to a higher weight, to make more of a competitive fight? Because like all guys who fight a bigger man, they want all the advantages they can get. But other than that, they fight the best guys in their own division I'd they can get them. That's what the Jacobs fight is. So why you winging. Are you sure Golovkin is to blame for the supermiddles not fighting him? What if he fights the winner of Jack Degale after. Would you be happy with that. Or does he have to jump to lightheavy, two divisions like Ward never did, like Canelo never did. I accept sometimes when people fight bigger men they ask for Catchweights. You can fight all the names from the divisions around you. You agree the terms fight by fight. I know what sort of boys who call fighters cowards and name call on the Internet. Enjoy yourself you little prick.

No reason to doubt what Dawson says is there. This was before he lost. Of course he suggested something more fair originally. But he bravely and kinda ******ly took all the risk on, an Ward happily depleted him for all he could. But when someone may have asked Ward to do halfway the same this lot have a meltdown. See how emotional they get.

I think that Dawson said a lot of things.

you think Dawson lied here..... ?

"I’ll make the weight, no problem,” Dawson said. “I’m still eating. I told everyone I could make 168. I wasn’t saying it to sell a fight, I was saying it because I can do it. We have talked about moving to 168 for the last few years. When I finally had the opportunity to do it, I did it."

"I definitely think I can continue to make 168. I’m, like you said, I’ve kind of got the best of both worlds. If I go down, if everything works according to plan and I win the title, and I’m looking for good fights in either weight class. I think 168 is a lot more loaded than the Light-Heavyweight Division is. I also do think that those guys at 168, including Andre Ward, will be coming up to Light-Heavyweight real soon, so as I say, I’m in a great position. I could go back to Light-Heavyweight and wait for those guys or I could stay at 168 pounds and contend against the Kesslers and Froch and those guys, so I think it’s a great position to be in."

I am sure you can dig up a link where Dawson mentioned 170, and I am also sure that you can dig up a link where Dawson blamed the catchweight following that loss.....

..... like I said, Dawson said a lot of things, including this.....

"The 28-year-old Ward (25-0, 13 KOs) -- who unified 168-pound titles with an easy decision win against Carl Froch in December to punctuate his dominant run to the Super Six World Boxing Classic championship -- was watching in April as Dawson polished off the great Bernard Hopkins for a decisive decision win in their rematch to reclaim the light heavyweight title.

Afterward, Dawson (31-1, 17 KOs) called out Ward in his postfight television interview, going so far as to say that he was willing to drop from 175 pounds to 168 to challenge Ward
, even though it's highly unusual for a fighter in a heavier weight division to cut weight to challenge for a championship in a lighter weight class. Shortly thereafter, the fight was made.

I do agree that Dawson was likely compromised at 168.
