If Canelo could have fought Floyd at 154 why on earth would he have asked for 152.The 152 could only be there to suit the smaller fighter. Bigger men don't ask for lighter weights. Has Canelo not mentioned these concessions he's had to make many times? Hold your horses you haven't answered anything yourself. Still saying Froch is bigger than Ward? Chavez can't still make a weight that Ward can't. Held a title at a weight that Ward never did because he was smaller. He still is. Look at the differences in their physique at 175,a blind man can see who's bigger. I got one more for you. Why should Golovkin fight the best guy a weight up from him with no concessions when Ward wouldn't? Are you ever gonna explain the double standard on this point?

"Hey Floyd I wanna fight you, but I insist that unlike when you fought Oscar, you drain me down two further pounds than the weight that I actually fight at to fight you, a guy that easily makes welter".."Gee Saul, that's do damn nice of you, since you gain nothing from it".. Yeah Canelo wanted it at 152... Now since this thread was about Golovkin, how about telling us why he should do what Ward wouldn't again.Comment

Come on, did I have to actually state I was being sarcastic? . The whole world knows a bigger fighter never asks to have to lose weight for a smaller guy. It's a disadvantage to the bigger guy. It's always the smaller guy that asks to drain the bigger guy down. This is ridiculous. As for why catchweight is ok for Ward and not Golovkin your inability to answer really does tell all.Comment

Ward only fought at lightheavy when he couldn't make supermiddle anymore. As in he is a lightheavy. You want Golovkin to go up a weight while he still makes his own weight with ease. I ain't got a problem with someone doing that, but Ward didn't do it, didn't concede anything at all to Dawson and didn't go up until he had to. Stop with the hypocrisy.
is the question..... do I think that the guy who ran around for FOUR YEARS saying he can beat "anyone from 154-168" should actually attempt to live up to his hype, especially if there are no good opponents at middleweight..... ?
..... the answer is an emphatic, YES !!Comment

nope, Dawson offered
GGG said " anyone from 154-168 ", then he demanded a CW
Dawson offered 168, and Ward said yes
see the difference ?
Dawson stated that he had always wanted to win a SMW title, he said he knew he could make the weight, and he said he intended to stay at 168 following the fight
that was a good win, but not one of Ward's best..... I agree that the weight did likely compromise Dawson
lilG's catchweight demand on Ward however, cannot be classified as a good winComment
