  • Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez: After Golovkin Beats Jacobs Easily, Give GGG Credit!

Abel Sanchez, trainer for WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs), expects his fighter to get a dominant win on March 18th, when he makes a mandatory defense against Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs).

Some people hate him and will never give him credit, even though they apologize for fighters like Wilder, Ward, and so on who don't chase after half the top names GGG does. At least Wilder has an exciting style, Ward doesn't even offer that. And yet you have people who apologize for Ward's BS but who hate GGG.

I will never understand it unless it's as simple as favoring black fighters no matter what, or hating white fighters no matter what. I personally root for any fighter regardless of race so long as they chase the best fights for the fans with regularity. And bonus support for exciting fighters who follow the rules. That's all I care about. For boxing to thrive, that's what fans need to get back to supporting in prize fighters.

There will be no excuses for the critics if he beats Jacobs easily, myself included. I hope it happens I'm a huge fan just not impressed at all by his 2016 campaign after a stellar 2015.

^^^lol, trying to project your own racial biases elsewhere, in a feeble attempt to try and not draw attention. nice try, but lol.

Near all of the criticism of Golovkin lays squarely on the fact that folks like you are trying to crown him the best middleweight fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves, without actually having to see him fight anyone worth fighting.

If Golovkin steps in their with Daniel Jacobs, and washes him in 4 rounds, he'll get the credit for finally beating a guy worth fighting.

not so fast.. people are calling Jacobs "chinny". that Pirog KO haunts him. . I already give Golovkin his props, with or without Jacobs.. when you have guys running to bogus divisions to avoid you, you know the hype is real.

the only name people bring up to **** on GGG is the LHW king Andre Ward, the Pound for Pound best.. if that's the only threat out there for GGG, that's credit to his greatness.

if boxing was operated like UFC the resume wouldn't be in question..guys like Saunders, Eubank and Cotto wouldn't be able to go nowhere but inside the ring.

"Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight.” - Carl Froch

let's hope Canelo/GGG happens this year.

he'll never get credit for anything he does on this site. He could knock him out in 1 and it will be due to jacobs being a bum. If he takes longer to knock him out than pirog did than they will say GGG was exposed.

GGG credit gets for beating far lesser fighters than Jacobs...stop sobbing.

Everybody is not going to be impressed with an old fighter with a comedy skit for a resume.

                    That's just how it is.
