I think it is likely that they could have fought at almost any point in the past three years if both parties had really wanted it.
yes in 2014 he signed the SHO deal.

Great question. She made a ****** miscalculation. IMO she figured her alleged "big money Russin backers" or HBO would give her enough support to win the purse bid. When it became obvious that wouldn't happen, she requested to no longer be the mando.

I am being more than reasonable. I am pointing out the facts. Like it or not, Kov/Duva did the same thing Stevenson/Haymon did.

You asked for honesty. Give us what you ask we give you.
lol big money russian backers..i remember that lol

but stevenon and haymon never did nothing..haymon and michel were going to put up 100k each out of their pocket to keep him on hbo..and hbo refused to put up the 100k and told michel tey wouldnt get a better deal elsewhere...THAT WAS FALSE...STEVENSON HAD NO PROBLEM FACING KOv..he just deserved his money after a monster 2013 hbo fired tons of ppl the following months..

i'm out..stevenson has never ducked this russian no belt stepmoma duva having ass bum

Not so. Whether you agree with network exclusivity contracts or not, the facts are that Kovalev has one with HBO and Stevenson is a free agent. That's the difference.

It's my honest opinion that Kovalev, Duva, Yvon Michel, and probably Stevenson himself, wanted this fight, and the reason it never happened can be summed up in one word - Haymon.

Sorry I meant exclusive deal. I really think the Stevenson side has shown little real impetus to fight Kovalev although it is probably the case that HBO have played a big hand in screwing this up on at least a couple of occasions.

Superman is past his prime. I'm disappointed that he couldn't get the big fights over the last two years. He could've been one of the greats IMO.

The problem is HBO kafkod. They do not want their fighter on another network. Had Haymon/Michel won that bid, that is what would've happened. Same thing played itself out with Jacobs/GGG.

I conceded that Stevenson/haymon was the problem in 2014.

Haymon was definitely the single biggest spanner in the works in 2013/2014, i'm not so sure about since though.

I think this is a reasonable assessment of the situation. HBO clearly doesn't want their main signed guys fighting on another network. I think Stevenson found a way to delay as long as he could. I think Kov/Duva thought Ward would be the easier road.

Went from being the most anticipated fight in the sport to a fight no one cares about today.
