I try to follow the fights that I consider relevant and interesting for me, that's it

And I'm still right, Danny Jacobs was winning this fight on scorecards
There isn't a person with good vision that can say that Jacobs was winning that fight.
Jacobs was ahead, but that was because Pirog was moments away of a robbery.
Still i don't know why make arguments about fights that you didn't saw, boxrec warriors are the worst.

Seemed like he might have been able to handle being backed up or being forced to fight at that tempo, but not both. He had his moments and he timed Pirog with some great shots. The fight was always on Pirog's terms though, right from the beginning.

That was Pirog's claim to fame.

What else did he do besides beat a prospect with a tumor growing on his spine.?

        Nothing.

[QUOTE=BlakBread904;17332724]All power and pressure (p&p) are not equal. What matters is how effectively that p&p is applied.

None of those sparring partners can replicate GGG's footwork & ring cutting/generalship ability.

I don't think Jacobs gets walked through, but I do see him being broken down over the course of about 5-7 rounds. He simply can't absorb the incoming fire as well as GGG looks to be able to.

Agree with this^. Golovkin will hunt Danny down and punish him. I'd like to see something competitive but I still see Jacobs getting put down in this one. Using Russian/Ukrainian sparring partners is a good idea but as you say they can't replicate Golovkin's methodical breakdown of his opponents. We'll see pretty soon.

GGG better show better defense than he has so far in his 10 year career.

Yes I agree. I think he learned a lot from the Brook fight in that regard.

He should have learned that in the Ouma fight, ages ago.

Defense is the hardest thing to learn....it's just not an art you can learn in one fight.

Dude is really in for it this time.

Ain't no one to help Jacobs from not being knocked out, dude should save his money and spend it on extra foam for the ring matting.

You know absolutely nothing about boxing. Why didnt his tumor affect his other fights before Pirog? He was 20-0, why is the tumor an excuse when he got KOd? Every time somebody mentions Pirog KOing Jacobs, you mention his tumor. What the **** are you on?

I've only said what I've heard from other people, and I don't visit boxrec.

It doesn't matter if you think that was a robbery, scorecards is the only thing that matters at the end of the day.

You have to be twice as better as your opponent if you're foreigner and fighting on hostile territory and Pirog did everything right and prevented the fight from going full distance
