What the **** are you talking about? I'm a Ward fan?

I stopped reading your rambling right there. What a waste of space.

FmJ has a tough disputed fight with Castillo, he rematches him and wins handily.
RJJ has a tough DQ loss to Griffiin, he rematches and destroys him
Pac has 3 tough fights with JMM and gives him a 4th

Andre Ward faces adversity for the first time in his career and he runs away and threatens retirement..way to go champ, you're a real legend.. Nobody would actually give a fk if you retired anyway...

He keeps talking about it and wants no part of Kovalev so go ahead and retire. I doubt anyone would notice.

that's a first ballot HOF right there.

not rematching Kovalev won't hurt his legacy one bit, that's nonsense. Joe Calzaghe exited the sport with a debatable decision against Hopkins, Sugar Ray Leonard still gets credit for beating Hagler no matter how much crying takes place.

record books will always show a win over Kovalev. was it close? yes..just because a fight is close does that mean it's an automatic robbery? of course not.

do I want to see the rematch? yes. but am I gonna discredit Ward's entire career if it doesn't take place? hell no.

personally I had him winning 7 rounds to 5. so I didn't see any robbery. .Ward has every right to retire or do whatever the hell he pleases.
Miranda, Bika and barerra are not names that get you in the HOF. The others are good names

I'll say this as well: If he thinks his career is cemented with the Kovalev win then he is fooling himself. The people that vote for the HOF that are in the media that don't care too much for Andre and don't agree with the decision will not let him in. It just won't happen
This is the quandary we as fans face when an entertainer speaks in a manner that reflects the separation between entertainer and fan. He is a prize fighter who gets paid to entertain. Yet he makes statements that reflect that he could care less about having one or 1 million fans. We as fans want him to care. We want him to want to entertain us. Unfortunately he says the things that indicate he doesn't care about the fans who helped him make enough money to be in a position to retire. As a fan of the sport, it sucks, as a man, I understand his position. Most cerebral fighters think like this, he seems to be the one who voices those thoughts most often. He would be better served in my view if he kept those thoughts private.

He's a great fighter and all but it is hard to see why boxing would miss him if he does retire. He just isn't particularly interesting nor is h in particularly good fights.

Wrong. As much as I dislike Floyd, he always gave an immediate rematch to fights he didn't win unanimously (i.e. Castillo, Maidana).
