No its not because he's still not well known, and he still has fought NO ONE of note...period. Canelo's name is attached to Mayweather and Cotto...2 Hof fighters, but Lara and trout are excellent names for his resume as well.

In just 20 fights since then, he has made millions, won 3/4 mw titles, is sponsored by Jordan & Apple and is one of the best known boxers on the planet.

His only weakness remains the fact that he is from nowheresville and therefore does not bring with him hundreds of thousands of fans who will pay for his PPVs simply because of his nationality.
