To be fair Lara hasn't mentioned GGG in a while. This is just DeCubas trying to grab some headlines so people are aware that Lara is fighting this month

          I don't believe that

that is one of the excuses that is repeated until it becomes true

Golovkin picked Willie Monroe Jnr over Erislandy Lara because..... "Monroe is a bigger draw than Lara"

Canelo could also have made similar excuses whenever Lara's name was mentioned..... but he didn't.

After Lara's marathon against Canelo, I have no interest at all in watching him "fight" anymore. He'd be better off on the Cuban track team.

Man, will these freaking clowns EVER stop yapping as soon as GGG has a fight signed? They never talk when he is available, nor have they attempted to show GGG and his team that they want the fight by moving up to 160 like they said they would. They want nothing to do with GGG, just using his name.

Seriously, why does anyone think Lara would want to face Golovkin?

Even if you think he will give GGG big problems, do you really think it's worth it to him to make, say, $1.5-2m against a guy he's likely to get heavily damaged by (Golovkin), rather than take half that sum per fight, and fight Ishe, Delvin, Zaveck, Vanes, Foreman - those are his last 5 opponents. Fights where he had very, very little chance of losing or taking damage.

So next time you think Golovkin's team are ducking Lara, just read those names of Lara's 5 opponents, knowing he only has to fight 2 of those to make what he would for a Golovkin fight.
