He likes to be controversial. that's the way he seems to be on this forum.

While this is sort of true, its wrong at the same time. Anyone who is a huge hatton fan like me will tell u that hatton can make it at 147. His relentless style is something not many fighters can handle.

Another thing a huge hatton fan will tell u, was that hatton was not himself. He hasnt been for a while now. This isnt the same guy that used to KO all his big opponents, and then act as classy as can be. this was a Ricky hatton that couldnt connect his big punches, was 50% as effective as he usually is, and plodded around the ring at 147.

Put him in the ring with collazo at 140 and while hatton is at his best, and that fight doesnt last 3 rounds. put ANY good fighter in the ring with hatton at his best, and hatton will win everytime. This is partly why hatton has been undefeated for so long.

The problem is, getting hatton to his best on fight night can be a problem.

As for the fight, hatton was the clear cut winner, even if it was a really close fight. I had 114-113 hatton, but it could have just as easy been 115-112, i can see him winning either way cause that 4th round could have gone either way.

we all watch these fights on the tv. judges that are ringside see things that we dont and vice versa. the point of arguing this is ******. especially when there is so much hatton hating and bias that it is impossible for there to be an objective agreement. hatton is hated because he is english and sorry to say it, white, and he has supporters because he isnt a **** talking ***** and he is fun to watch. so **** it. its over we can all think what we want but it really wont change a thing.

Very very close fight that I could have seen going either way. I had it 114-113 for Collazo myself, but it wasn't robbery. I actually was a big supporter of Hatton going into the fight, but his rough house tactics and constant holding without warnings are wearing on my nerves. I was really wanting to see Hatton fight PBF and was going to route for Hatton. Now I'd like to see his ass get laid down. Tough gritty kid and I love what he stands for outside the ring....but his style is losing him respect. At least on my part it is. The fight being in Mass was a factor too, the fans went crazy everytime Hatton landed anything and Collazo landed some huge shots and nobody did ****. The HBO commentators were about as biased as I've ever heard them too, being that Hatton is their new golden child.

a good way to tell if you know how to judge fights is if your scorecard is very close to the majority of the judges 75% of the time. I had this fight 115-112 for Hatton, the same as two of the judges.

I like Hatton, but 147 is probably not the best place for him. I say go back to 140 and take out Cotto and winner of Corrales/Castillo because those are probably two fights he will win

Taylor defeated Hopkins twice, Hatton defeated Collazo.
