Same as when Marquez did this...

Same again, that's boxing we will rise again
    I respect that
But then you look at how he handled the loss to floyd
On the other hand, Marquez never accepted his defeats to Pacquiao and it motivated him to come back stronger and eventually finish the rivalry definitively

Kovalev, like Marquez, seems like a guy who thrives when he feels like he's been wronged and has something to prove

I can understand him being angry about the decision, any fighter in his position would be. But now he's saying ****** **** about Ward's ability to draw and how he'd rather lose than win the way Ward did (?) and it just comes off so pathetic.

I did not find a translation of this interview to English - http://allboxing.ru/news/20161213-22...hlo-porazhenie
He says that he is glad that he has lost and that he would otherwise change nothing in his training. Now he is motivated to change the training approach etc.

Kathy Duva publicly instigates and fuels tension on purpose to sell fights. It's a without a doubt she's the one who approves or comes up with the social media trolling. She tries to get into Ward's head, camp and fans to ultimately make ''decisions'' into signing the second fight. It's how promotions work, and it's always the case when the promoters pay industry to write things that favor the other fighters and cause drama.

They're trying to justify the theoretical ''robbery,' so she's trying her best to stir up tension. Of course Kovalev is upset losing all them belts, but I highly doubt he talks that way. Boxers are coached on how to sell fights, and when they see profitable returns they don't doubt the gimmicks they've been told to say. All comes with the program. This is always apparent with Golovkin too, and many industry writers whom too are fanboys of hype to help their own insecurities don't mind plagiarizing or exaggerate some fantasy talk ''coming from Golovkin's mouth.''

These are all apparent when boxers talk in real life behind the camera and show complete inconsistencies from articles or from previous interviews. Most stuff is fabricated and hyped by industry. I mean look at Chavez Sr., he's been trying to hype a fight with Alvarez for the longest. It's a tremendous fight that is ideal to the Mexican boxing world, and its a salvation to the Chavez brand if they could pull the upset. Wanting Chavez or Froch at 168 was always an Abel & Loeffler fairy tale. Golovkin never wanted any of that. Just a bloke boxer that says for a 5 year run at 160 that ''I'm ready for anybody...''

yeah i thought he got robbed but getting fed up with his whining. At the end of the day he didnt box very well in the second half of the fight, so hes got himself to blame in some respects, after round6 he should have been well on his way to making it like a 118-110 style fight, instead he took the foot off of the gas.

I saw an interview where kov states he wasn't ready mentally
Kov changes his story too much
                Is it the judges
                His training
                Or his mentality

Ahhh I don't mind. It was a close fight that he felt he won. Might as well do as much as you can to build up a rematch by talking that ish.

It should do good for selling the second fight.

The build-up to the first fight was bland because there was really nothing to it other than it being a great boxing match. People who watched 1 boxing match in their life know that that may not turn out great, but a boxing match where there is bad blood and past animosity that generally makes the fight much more meaningful.

Now they really have stuff to go back and forth on, as do fans.
