“Golovkin is a small middleweight, I’m a big super-middleweight. The fight was maybe talked about a year after I retired and it was never going to happen. Golovkin cannot win a fight against me, he’s not big enough. You can’t talk about Golovkin in the same breath as me.”

So Carl says a small MW needs to fight a LHW?

It is not his fault that Cotto and Canelo ducked him. They fought superstars like Geale and Liam Smith.

This is rich coming from Froch, Didn't he retire so he wouldn't fight GGG?

Take GGG out of the middle weight division you've a ton of competitive fights to go around, Jacobs likely establishes himself no.1 but he's no challenge to GGG in what is barely a deep division. It's obvious why GGG is hanging around waiting for a cash out fight, I don't begrudge him that chance but I don't want to see an exciting talent in Canelo damaged when he has an exciting future in the sport, he has a solid ten years in him yet what has GGG, 2-3 tops ?
If you don't want him to fight Canelo or Jacobs, who do you want?

Cotto ducked him, ok. Canelo and GGG are currently in negotiations however GGG ducked Lara and Ward. Ducking works both ways.

I don't see any credible opposition worthy of providing a challenge at the weight. I'd like to see him unify super middle and I think he will clear that place out too, Zurdo ppv and DeGale UK ppv would make him as much money as he is making versus Brook and Jacobs, why not move up.

I think Jacobs competes with GGG and has a real shot to win. I'm not gonna Jacobs and Canelo off of the scrubs that GGG has fought. Jacobs has power just like GGG has power.
Canelo's win over Lara was a special win, one many got butt hurt over for calling it wrong. Too many are desperate to see Canelo lose and nearly as many want to see him hurt versus GGG. Golovkin will damage Canelo's future prospects with the beating he puts on him, have you seen many Canelo fights ? Observe his footwork.

You really believe he beats GGG ?

Where have you read GGG and Canelo are in current negotiations, last I read GGG turned down ten million to face Canelo. I'm not expecting that fight to happen this year and I would not bank on it that it happens this year.

This right here is exactly why Carl has no credibility when it comes to Golovkin.

I want Golovkin to move up to LHW sometime in the 2018, but statements like this from Froch are absolutely idiotic.

Lol, yes I do believe Canelo would win. As far as Canelo Lara I felt either guy could've gotten the decision and I also like close fights to be rematched.
