Mayweather has opened himself up to criticism by not fighting Hatton at light welterweight and thinking it was good enough to do in a faded Gatti. You might say that Mayweather iss till only a two weight world champion because the WBC version at 140 was bull****, stripped from Tszyu, the welterweight title was illegitimate at 147 because Judah did not deserve to keep it after Baldomir. Even if PBF defeats ODLH for the WBC 154 title that's bull**** because that title was never lost by Winky Wright.
    Very good post.

At least once in Floyd's boxing career he is going to have to get into a slugfest. I think a guy like Cotto would present a lot of trouble for Floyd. Bigger stronger guy will give Floyd problems.

Hatton needs to fight at least once more in america before he fights Floyd in order to get a fair pay in the fight IMO.

Cotto is still raw. His first really big fight can't be against Floyd. Let him beat Malginaggi first.

To be honest I want to see Floyd fight that guy who Cotto beat last year. Ricardo Torres was his name. What a punch that guy had, if he gets some better training he can be a star.

He ain't Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, or Tommy Hearns.

I'm not going to breakdown Floyd's flaws.. I'm not an expert, but he ain't perfect. He's had some close calls, and I wouldn't be shocked if Oscar beat him..
of course mayweather is over-rated, hatton 1st fight is against a true welterweight, while mayweather moves up to welterweight to take on former jr. welterweights. and floyds already had 2 fight at welterweight.

everybody says how delahoya will be a tougher fight, bull**** all he is going for at delahoya is for the money, not for legacy, not for delahoyas title, nothing more then a hand out from delahoya, if floyd would have already fought a top welterweight, he wouldn't be getting so much negative as he does now.

floyd is a disgrace to the pound for pound title, their times i have to hear how **** about chavez, yet when it comes to floyd, nobody wants to tell it like it is, only a few, and those few reporters are already acknowledging that floyd hasn't fought anybody dangerous since Jose Luis Castillo.

People need to give Floyd some respect, he has fought great fighters from 130 to 147.

I respect what hes done in the past, just not the present.

He made his mark back then, and is living off old glory.

But people are so quick to knock Mayeather 4 weight class championship run. They say oh Gatti is a bum, when many said he looke better than ever was at hs best an had a chance, an say Juah wasnt teh real champ, an we all know he is better than Balomir.

But everyone loves how DeLaHoya is 6 weight class champ an leaves out how he completely robbed Felix Sturrm for the middle weight belt,an Sturm wasnt the real champ.

at 147 Mayweather fought Zab Juah an Sharmba Mitchell, not to bad, and people are forgetting Floyd is coming up from 130 pouns. When he move to 135 he fought the best an is continuing to fight great fighters.

PS, im not a Mayweather fan jus saying what i think is right.

He'll be great if/when he beats all the great fighters that are out there is his weight range, and not before.

I do believe he is coming around and knows the clock is ticking. The dude is 29 and still looking for his first megafight. The promotion for PBF-Judah was if he thought it was twice the fight Ali-Frazier was.

Get real. Fighting Baldomir's seconds isn't good enough, and the HBO crew, especially Lampley, need to stop cheerleading and demand more from PBF. The chumps elevating him to P4P #1 based on what he might be able to do are part of the problem. Surely we want to see the best and most competitive fights, or maybe we just forget about that and use paper and pencil and equations to determine who's great?

i wouldn't even compare delahoyas career to mayweathers career myaweather career took a huge dip after Castillo.

You know another fighter that is having succes coming from the 130 pound class beside delahoya and mayweather.....Arturo Gatti, why do i mention arturo gatti, well mayweather cried after beating gatti delahoya has never cried over any win and delahoyas resume is better then mayweathers
