Joppy was done after Tito. He should've lost to Eastman, then he fought a Japanese guy, then Don King had him sit out for 14 months prior to Hopkins. Even prime Joppy wasn't that special, he made his name beating an old faded Duran.

Strongly disagree with you on Joppy & Johnson, that's why I didn't list them with Eastman, Holmes, Allen, and Echols. Those 4 were better than the versions of Joppy & Johnson that got in the ring with Nard.
The same LeMew that was stopped by Rubio and decisioned by Alcine? Bullshyte!

Dont compare GGG to Hopkins because GGG hasnt fought anybody considered elite , Id love to see a 50yr old GGG fight a prime Kovalev lol , he is too busy side stepping Ward while in prime let alone fight them at 50 .

Put it all into perspective and GGG does not qualify to carry Bernards gym bag .

why are you bringing up fights that didn't take place at MW.. I'm strictly speaking of Hopkins at 160, his biggest wins were two small guys that fought him in his division.

this is Hopkins resume after the RJJ defeat in 1993: Roy Ritchie, Wendell Hall, Melvin Wynn, Lupe Aquino, Segundo Mercado (twice), Steve Frank, Joe Lipsey, William Bo James, John David Jackson, Glen Johnson, Andrew Council, Simon Brown, Robert Allen (twice), Antwun Echols, Syd Vanderpool, Antwun Echols, Keith Holmes, Felix Trinidad, Carl Daniels, Morrade Hakkar, William Joppy, Robert Allen, Oscar De La Hoya, Howard Eastman, Jermain Taylor (twice, 2 Losses)

GGG runs through this list undefeated winning every fight by knockout.

i don't know who tom is. sorry.

yes, a flat fee of 10MM for a fight that will likely do a million buys or more is a lowball offer. when the fight is finally made, GGG will make a lot more than 10MM.

it's easy to say someone is ******. but can you prove it? either my positions have merit or they don't. your opinion of me personally is irrelevant. but it is very common for those of lower intelligence to assume the other person is ****** when they finally encounter someone of advanced intelligence.

if you feel the need to compare intellectual credentials, we can do that. but it wouldn't turn out well for you.

their guarantees were 25MM & 9MM, but both had PPV upside.

hopkins had fought for 350K the year before. so his drawing power then was nowhere close to GGG's drawing power now.

GGG is going to sell out MSG as the A side in march. hopkins was never that level of attraction.

only 3 guys have pieced together the WBC/WBA/IBF middleweight titles. hagler. hopkins. GGG (yes i realize taylor lucked into facing someone that had already spent the time unifying).

yes, GGG's resume is currently lacking superfights. that will change when he KOs canelo.

97k PPV buys? The regular youtuber who has a decent YouTube channel gets more views than that per vid
Yeah, too bad he can't fight Robert Allen 3 times or Segundo Mercado twice for a vacant title

Not only were they smaller men but Oscar got beat up by Felix Sturm only a few months before fighting Hopkins. Delahoya was given an enormous gift decision against Sturm because if he would have lost, then the Hopkins fight wouldn't have happened and the boxing business people would have lost a lot of money.

Everybody thought Oscar lost to Sturm. He looked horrible in that fight and was pretty badly beat up. People talk about robberies on this forum....THAT was a robbery.

Trinidad was a decent win but he was the smaller man and he was definitely a plodder. He never amounted to much at middleweight.

And, you are indeed ****** if you think that fight would do 1 million buys lmao! Cotto vs Canelo did 900k and again NO ONE knows who the **** golovkin is. He sounds like the schoolyard bully ******....1 million buys...lmao again. Get your fanboy dreams out of your azz.
