GGG is a much bigger draw right now than Hopkins was and Canelo isn't nearly as big of a draw right now as De La Hoya was. So why would GGG/Canelo have the same split as Hopkins/DLH? Doesn't make any sense.

GGG is the only WBC/WBA/IBF champion in boxing. He's the most dominant champion in all of boxing.

I am not a GGG fan. I don't root for him. I don't like him. But facts are facts. He has a stranglehold on his division far beyond any other fighter in the sport. A hype job would not be able to pull that off.

which is exactly what GGG is doing. he has the division on lockdown. fighters are avoiding the division so they can avoid him. he has the WBC, WBA and IBF belts. he's willing to face anybody for them. knocking GGG when he is, by far, the most dominant champion in any division in boxing right now is laughable.

Bottom line, golovkin has no bargaining chips, he's fought nobodies, he's beaten nobodies, thus he has NO ONE on his resume to boast about except a guy that had to move up 2 TWO weight divisions, AFTER he declined a 157 catchweight.
