Fighters taking long layoff is no longer nothing new in this sport. Yes, Spence will likely be seen in the ring again 8-9 months from his last fight, either assuming Brook fights him or not.

He's going to be waiting for a while. He should be fighting someone this winter to stay sharp. It really doesnt matter who...but looks like that isn't happening. Sucks for him.

Hope he gets in the ring soon. Too early in his career to be taking long breaks.

Spence will most likely be told what to do, which is either fight someone else or wait for Brook vs Khan to be done. And he will do it, like a good boy.

Naw, Spence won't wait for Brook vs Khan. He'll fight Brook or he'll fight for the belt that Brook hands over.

Unless Brook reaches far enough into Eddie Hearn's pockets to pay him very sizeable step aside fee.

What date is he rumored to be fighting?
This is the one thing that absolutely kills me about boxing.
Here we have this young exciting kid coming off two great KO victories and he's inactive since August.
He should have fought in December. A lesser known opponent on a small PBC undercard to keep him active, keep him in people's memory and keep that KO streak going.

Not every boxer can be Mayweather or Pacquiao.

Of course, this is the same dude that made the post about Danny being inactive then played ****** when people pointed out he had the same number of fights Canelo had since he left SHO to sign with HBO, a fighter he said was active.

Fans don't want to hear long layoff excuses why they lost or performed badly.
